Thank You for Making the 2018 AES/PTO Food Drive Successful!
A big thank you goes out to all our AES families for making this year’s food drive successful. AES exceeded its goal this year and collected a total of 2,304 canned and nonperishable food items!! We could not have met this goal without the help of each and every one of you - you have helped to make a difference in the lives of our friends and neighbors in in Roswell and Alpharetta.
A big shoutout goes to Ms. Nelson's class (4th grade), Ms. Diaz’s class (5th grade), and Ms. Kane’s class (Pre-K) for being the top three classes in the school to bring in the most items this week. Another big shoutout goes to our Special Friends classes for bringing in a total of 224 items this week!
The top classes bringing in the most items for their grade are:
Kendra Scott Gives Back Party
Join fellow AES families at Kendra Scott at Avalon on Wednesday, December 5th from 6:00-8:00pm. Enjoy sips and sweets while you do some holiday shopping. 20% of the evening's proceeds will go to AES! If you can’t make it out on the 5th, you can call the store during the event and place and order by phone and AES will get credit!
Chick-fil-A Family Night - December 11th
Our next Chick-fil-A Family Night is just around the corner! Make plans to join us Tuesday, December 11 from 5:30p-7:30p at the Avalon store!
The following teachers will be there dishing up ice cream toppings and applying tattoos:
5:30-6:30 - Mrs. O'Brien and Ms. Crumpton
6:30-7:30 - Mrs. Newman and Mrs. Summers
PLUS - the AES Chorus will be there performing holiday songs throughout the evening!
Don't forget to sign the Sign-In book when you arrive, or if you go through the drive-thru, ask your server to sign you in. *Please note if you have a commitment and you must get there within 30 minutes before or after the designated times, so they will include your order in our total earnings if you mention it.
Also - a note about parking - the office building next to the store and the Container Store on the other side have both offered their lots for overflow. EVEN if there is a sign saying No Parking at the office building, you can ignore it. The office is closed in the evening and you WILL NOT be towed.
And remember - the class with the most participation wins free Chick-fil-A! See you then!

Join the PTO!
By joining the PTO as a family member, staff or community partner and making a donation, you help us meet our school's needs that are outside the scope of the budget.
The AES PTO is proud to have been able to:
Resurface Basket Ball Courts - Purchase Classroom Computers - Provide Extra Grants & Supplies to Teachers - Purchase Classroom Libraries - Provide Lunch & Treats for Staff
We also make a difference by purchasing food for students who would otherwise not have enough to eat during the holiday breaks, buying school supplies, and paying for field trips. Our students love the book fair, so we make sure to purchase books for those students who normally would not be able to.
These are just a few examples of the many things PTO is able to do with your help!
Contributing to the PTO truly makes a difference and puts a smile on children's faces!
When you go a step further and volunteer to help with events—or join our board— you set a fine example for our students to follow, and greatly encourage our teachers and staff.
If you have questions about becoming a member of the PTO, please contact Alison Crain at email@example.com.
DO YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED IN VOLUNTEERING FOR EVENTS?
The PTO strives to support the students, parents and education at Alpharetta Elementary School by promoting a sense of community through fundraisers, events and give-back programs.
Click on each event to find out more.
All of these activities add in a positive way to the AES experience for all of us. The PTO plans, organizes, staffs and operate dozens of activities each year. It takes the continued commitment of a lot of people to make all of the activities a reality.
Please consider volunteering to help with one or two of the activities listed below. By volunteering you will be helping the PTO, the school, your child and yourself. None of the activities gets done without PTO volunteers like you. Each activity requires a team effort for success and anytime you can give is great!
Please contact Stephanie Scher at firstname.lastname@example.org to volunteer.
To keep up with the AES calendar on your phone, download the Membership Toolkit app!
This website is the primary source of communication with the school community, and we hope you take full advantage of our website and create an account.
If you already have a Membership Toolkit account with another organization, you can use the same log-in here. If you have any questions about your account with Membership Toolkit please contact Erin Hannaford at email@example.com.
Volunteering with our PTO is one of the best ways that parents can support the students and staff at our school. Thanks for volunteering!
